Thursday evening, hip hop royalty Ice Cube kicked off Labor Day weekend at Tao Nightclub at the Venetian. The rapper, actor and producer made the night into a family affair, joined by his wife and two sons rappers OMG and DoughBoy along with friends. The group took over a VIP section overlooking the dance floor before Ice Cube treated the packed house to a special performance. The crowd sang along word for word to songs including “Why We Thugs,” “Check Yo Self,” and “You Can Do It” as son OMG, who will be playing his dad in the upcoming N.W.A  biopic, helped with hype man duties on the mic. Reminding partygoers that there was “no better place to be than Tao,” the hip hop superstar dropped hits “We Be Clubbin” and “It Was A Good Day.” Before his final song, Ice Cube thanked everyone for coming out. “I had fun jumping up here and jumping back up on the microphone. If you only remember one thing about me, let it be that I always rep that west,” closing out his performance with anthem “I Rep That West.” He then returned to his VIP table and took in the lively atmosphere to the sounds of DJ Five. At Tao Asian Bistro, rapper Tyga was spotted dining with a group of friends. They ordered miso-glazed Chilean sea bass and spicy tuna tartare over crispy rice. Click on the photos below to enlarge.
