Gucci hosted a sold-out Barclays’ Six-Bar & Gala at the Sonoma Horse Park on August 3rd. The luxury fashion house was the official presenting sponsor of Giant Steps Charity Classic that ran from July 31 – August 4th, showcasing top regional and national equestrians from across the country. The partnership is the latest extension of the House’s relationship with the equestrian world.

Just a few of the prominent guests looking absolutely stunning in their Gucci attire were Vanessa Getty, Hannah Selleck, Kevin Nord (Gucci San Francisco’s store manager), Laura Merling and Phill Rogers.

Guests were greeted with a mini Gucci pop-up store featuring pieces from the 2013 Equestrian Collection, then treated to a riding demonstration by the inspirational Giant Steps Riders and the $10,000 Barclay’s Six Bar jumping Competition.

The exquisite evening was enriched with a three-course dinner by Park Avenue Catering paired with wines by Rombauer Vineyards, followed by a vibrant live auction that featured prizes ranging from luxury international vacation packages to dinner with chef Garry Danko.

Now in its fourth year, Giant Steps Charity Classic awards over $100,000 in prize money and each evening boasts a featured competition and event; all of which benefit the programs at Giant Steps Therapeutic Equestrian Center, which provides metamorphic experiences to individuals coping with various disabilities and veterans living with post-traumatic stress disorder. The two title events of the weekend are Barclays Six-Bar & Gala presented by Gucci on Saturday evening and the $30,000 Shaklee Grand Prix presented by Gucci on Sunday afternoon.
