Former Atlanta Former Braves all-star pitcher Tom Glavine has recently listed his Alpharetta estate with Stephanie Lewis at Harry Norman, REALTORS ® for $1.99 million. Located in the exclusive Country Club of the South, this 10,000 square-foot colonial sits on 1.94 acres of land.  The The former MLB star’s home  boasts 7 spacious bedrooms, 11 bathrooms and a private pool. The three story home also features a wood-paneled  office, a home theater, a wine cellar, a game room, an indoor putting green and a huge exercise room. Oh, and there is a second kitchen as well as a banquet-sized dining room. This European-style home is outfitted with very ornate and elaborate details, such as the columns, marble, double-curved staircase and the grand chandelier in the foyer. (See pic below).

The master suite located on the main level is one of the most lavish areas of the mansion. With its own fireplace, sitting area and spa bath, it’s as custom as they come.  The master bath features  stained glass windows, imported Italian marble, and a  jetted garden soaker tub.

Another big perk to this piece of real estate is its location in the exclusive Country Club of the South.  This premiere-gated community  has 24- security protection, an award-winning 18-hole golf course and many other exclusive amenities. (In fact, many celebrities including Whitney Houston and Usher have owned homes here)  Glavine definitely enjoyed all of the golf amenities located within the elite Country Club of the South. In fact, he hosted all of his charity golf tournaments there.

Glavine, who retired from the Atlanta Braves in 2010 is still very much a part of the game. Currently, he works as a consultant for his Atlanta Braves and serves as an on-air analyst for SportsSouth and FOX Sports South.
