People come to Aspen for vacation, but summer concerts and pool parties in Snowmass make it the weekend getaway-getaway. The action starts on Thursday with the live concert series on Fanny Hill. Musical acts, from reggae to rock and folk, take the stage every Thursday through Aug. 15 at 6:15 p.m. for an evening of entertainment under the summer sky. Bring a picnic and make a night out of it.
On Saturday afternoons, the live music trend continues. From 2 to 5 p.m., bands play outside the Westin at the firepit. Conveniently located next to the New Belgium Ranger Station, everyone is invited to sit back and enjoy the sounds of summer after a long day mountain biking on the trails. And if that’s not enough action for one weekend, the ultimate Sunday Funday hits the Wildwood Hotel pool, with DJs spinning from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
The hotels also offer guided hikes, yoga and kid’s camp opportunities, plus movie nights and special events throughout the summer.
