Chaya Brasserie is going to be doing a lot of celebrating this summer.

The upscale Japanese eatery will be celebrating its 30th anniversary in style by hosting its Summer Festival, which includes three months of festivities.

The opening night fete will be held on July 28. Guests are invited to enjoy unlimited dishes designed by Executive Corporate Chef Shigefumi Tachibe, the original opening chef for the CHAYA Restaurants, specialty “Dirty Thirty” cocktails, beer, wine and sake, as well as live performances by The Gumbo Brothers, The Crown City Bombers, DJ Eric Sharp and Fire Groove Fire Dancers. There will also be traditional Japanese Taiko Drummers, a tarot card reader, and Japanese games at the event.

A portion of the proceeds from the festival fete benefit Share Our Strength‘s mission to end child hunger.

The three months of celebration include a month-long “A Family Affair” anniversary chef’s menu in August honoring the Tsunoda family, which has owned and operated Chaya for 400 years in locations around the world.

The festivities will culminate with a chef tribute dinner in October featuring Michelin-starred Chaya Chef Kuniaki Kozuka of the original Hikage Chaya in Japan for a limited-engagement menu.
