Real Estate Reality : Katrina Campins

Katrina Campins

If I have business lunch I like to have it at Books & Books on Lincoln Road. It’s healthy and has a nice atmosphere.

This Miami native has been in real estate since the age of 17 and has been become a seasoned reality tv pro since she landed on the famed first season of The Apprentice in 2004. She may have been “fired” in week 11, but her real estate chops and work ethic made her a clear favorite of The Donald and viewers. She parlayed her television success to her career and opened The Campins Company, which is a full-service, nationwide real estate brokerage which caters to athletes and entertainers. Now Campins has her own show debuting this month on The Style Channel.

5:00 AM I try to meditate before I jump in the shower and go straight to the coffee machine. From there, I go right into hair and make up on days we are in production for my show on Style Network

7:30 AM I eat an egg white omelet, grape fruit and a protein shake. I eat a lot, usually every 2-3 hours. I think a woman should have curves, and with my body type I have to eat a lot if I want them.

8:30 AM I begin with wardrobe – I usually have about seven or eight changes. I collaborate with the stylist to tell her what I’m feeling. I do a lot of short suits and fun things. I push the envelope a little in terms of business attire. We’re in Miami, so you can get away with it.

9:00 AM We go to the first location and it’s usually a listing of mine.

11:30 AM I am going into the office by this time. Right now Campins is going international and I am making a lot of decisions on who to partner with in different countries etc.

12:30 AM If I have business lunch I like to have it at Books & Books on Lincoln Road. It’s healthy and has a nice atmosphere.

1:30 AM I go film Fox News at the studio on 71st. I talk about the real estate market in Miami and how it is affecting the national recovery and international markets.

5:00 PM I’m back in the office working. I look into our Sports & Entertainment group which utilizes the Campins Clicque, a broker network we created to help athletes and entertainers find homes after relocation.

7:00 PM I’m usually showing a listing to clients after work. Sometimes I have to drive to Ft. Lauderdale.

8:00 PM I might do a conference call for Müvin, a real estate technology company I founded.

10:00 PM If I didn’t work out in the morning, which if I’m filming, I won’t. I mix weights with Pilates to fire up different muscles. It keeps my body in shock and burning calories.
