Out With Alisa: Summer in Europe

This week I’m leaving the city bound for Europe, where we and most of our friends will spend the summer. However, before we jet off to the Continent, we celebrated the close of the New York City season!

The send-off began with Ivana Trump, who gave a cocktail party at her house in honor of her artist friend Giovanni Perrone. As a nice surprise for us guests, Ivana and her boyfriend Mark Antonio (who is a professional singer and won the Festival di Sanremo) performed a few songs at the end of the night.

Next up, Michelle Rella gave a beautiful lunch at Nello’s restaurant to celebrate two occasions – we toasted Nora Lawlor in honor of her birthday and we toasted Dee Hilfiger in honor of the new Tommy Hilfiger boutique in Los Angeles. Nello’s surprised us with beautiful ice cubes that had fresh fruits inside.

Later in the week, Denice Rich took over a table in the ballroom of Cipriani on 42nd Street at the benefit supporting Women Who Care. Guests at the event, which was hosted by Susan Lucci and singer Cyndi Lauper, enjoyed the wonderful Cipriani backdrop and the speeches from both Cyndi and Susan.

Finally, Avenue magazine organized a luncheon hosted by Shoshanna Lonstein and Diandra Douglas. A band performed during the lunch while guests were enjoining black and red caviar. Among the guests were Ivanka trump, Kelly Bensimon, LuAnn de Lesseps, Kelly Rutherford and Lady Liliana Cavendish.

It was a wonderful way to say goodbye to New York! See you back in September!
