Kayne Gives Impromptu Performance At Design Miami Basel

Design Miami Presents Kanye West World Exclusive Listening Party for His New Albulm "Yeezus"

Kanye West has been giving tastes of his upcoming album Yeezus in a number of creative and unusual ways, including projecting his rapping head on the side of buildings in New York,  Miami and LA. Now, West has chosen Art Basel in Switzerland, which officially starts today, as the place to make his next big statement. At the stroke of midnight he gave Design Miami goers a taste of the album which drops next week, via an impromptu listening party which included one song sung live, a capella. The Design Miami setting for the listening party is not such a stretch as West revealed yesterday to the New York Times that his inspiration for Yeezus was Le Corbusier, a legendary midcentury modernist furniture designer.  Design Miami took place in Herzog and de Meuron-designed Hall 1 Sud at Basel’s Messeplatz and was attended by founder and Haute 100-lister Craig Robins Simon De Pury; Jeanne Rohatyn; Hans Ulrich Obrist; Rodman Primack; Soumaya and Fernando Romero; brothers Nicki and Simon Haas; Maria Baibakova; Jacques Lacoste and René Kamm, CEO of MCH Group.
