Italy came to LA last week in the shape of Vino California, the largest native Italian wine celebration on the West Coast.

The week-long wine party featured seminars, pairing dinners at Los Angeles’ top Italian restaurants and spirit-focused happy hours enjoyed by wine connoisseurs, wine professionals and consumers alike.

In its third year, the week — presented by the Italy-America Chamber of Commerce West in collaboration with Blue Lifestyle and The Tasting Panel magazine — kicked off with a grand tasting at the Skirball Center with more than 100 native wine varietals from 18 regions on display. The Grand Tasting also featured two seminars on the Calabria region as well as a broad overview of various Italian varietals.

In addition to these spectacular wines, attendees will had the opportunity to taste a variety of Italian products ranging from wine and Prosecco sorbet to fresh pastas courtesy of event sponsors Italian Magic Olives, PreGel, Bindi, Ferrarelle, Pasta Mia, Academia Barilla and Il Fornaio.

Intimate wine pairing dinners were also offered at Aventine Hollywood, Valentino and Beverly Hills’ Enoteca Drago; nightly happy hours at Locando Del Lago and Bar Toscana highlighted Italian spirit-based cocktails.
