The party that made ROOF the #1 Day Club in the country (Nightclub&Bar, 2013) returns this Sunday with rapper, record producer and International DJ Lil’ Jon. Spinning some of his smash hits like “Lean Back” and “Get Low,” Lil’ Jon will kick off a season of fantastically colorful Sundays, catering to Chicago’s young-at-heart.
The ultimate day party returns every Sunday from May 26 – September 1 and features the open air and stunning views inherent of ROOF, enhanced by a climate control system so it’s not too hot or too cool on this globally recognized rooftop. The season will feature an array of top DJs and performers from brothers, Gigamesh and Joe Maz to LMFAO’s Sky Blu and Modern Machines.
Along with some of the top DJs in the country, guests at ROOF Sundays will enjoy a specialty menu with items like lobster tacos with summer melon pico, cabbage and avocado mango crema, a full sushi bar and chilled soba noodle salad with tofu satay, snap pea, spinach and a palm sugar vinaigrette. Pastry chef Toni Roberts presents festive tropical macarons and mini lemon meringue doughnuts as well as peanut butter banana fudge push pops with whipped cream and crushed nuts.
New for 2013, ROOF will serve a selection of 3-liter punch bowls to be enjoyed with a group. The French Philandering punch bowl is comprised of Belvedere vodka, Crème de Peach, fresh lemon juice and Cloudy Bay Sauvignon Blanc, garnished with grapefruit wedges and serves 6-12 people. Another ROOF Sundays special is the Lost Room Key Punch available by the glass or bowl featuring 10 Cane Rum, orchard apricot brandy, pineapple syrup, charred pineapple bitters and lime.
