Matthew Broderick isn’t ready to stop seeing his name in lights! The 50-year-old actor has decided to extend his run in Broadway’s “Nice Work If You Can Get It” until June 15. Set in the roaring 1920s, Broderick plays a wealthy, often-drunken playboy that meets a bubbly and feisty bootlegger (Tony Award nominee Jessie Mueller) who melts his heart.

Bette Midler is returning to the stage for the first time in 30 years! The 67-year-old Grammy, Tony and Golden Globe winner will perform in the one-woman show, “I’ll Eat You Last: A Chat With Sue Mengers,” written by Tony Award winner John Logan. Midler will play the legendary power-player Sue Mengers, who climbed the Hollywood ranks and went from receptionist to super agent in a traditionally male-dominated industry. Her client list included such big names as Barbra Streisand, Mike Nichols, Faye Dunaway, Bob Fosse, Steve McQueen and Michael Caine. The play opens on April 24.

Television’s favorite villain, Jane Lynch, will make her Broadway debut playing the legendary Miss Hannigan in Annie. She may not have performed in a musical before, but thanks to Fox’s smash hit, Glee, Lynch has plenty of experience instilling fear in pint-sized actors singing show tunes. Lynch will star alongside 12-year-old Lilla Crawford (Broadway’s Billy Elliot) as little orphan Annie. Lynch will begin performances on May 16 and continue through July 14.
The play features an all-star cast including Emmy and SAG award winner Ben Foster (The Messenger, 3:10 to Yuma) and Tom Sturridge (Being Julia, Like Minds).

After playing a charismatic, controlling network executive on NBC’s 30 Rock for seven seasons, Alec Baldwin is back on Broadway playing a wealthy mobster who is kidnapped by two orphaned brothers in Lyle Kessler’s 1983 drama Orphans. Baldwin soon becomes the force that will forever change their lives. Directed by Daniel Sullivan (Glengarry Glen Ross), the play features an all-star cast including Emmy and SAG award winner Ben Foster (The Messenger, 3:10 to Yuma) and Tom Sturridge (Being Julia, Like Minds).
