Designer-Artist Karelle Levy of the eponymous brand, KrelWear, is back in her hometown of Miami with a new love and renewed purpose. Here are a few of her favorite things.

Where were you born ?
I was born in Paris, France to a mother from Sweden and a father from Tunisia.
How long in South florida:
Since I was 6 years old, so I think I’m more a Miamian, than anything else.
I grew up in Golden Beach, then went off to college at `Rhode Island School of Design. I moved back and lived a bit all over Miami and ended up in south beach, on Belle Isle.
I am a fashion designer and artist. I’ve been involved in installations, performance art and costume design.
Best Sushi:
Bond Street sushi is the best.
Best Sunday brunch:
I like making it at home.
Best place for a power business meeting:
The spa at The Standard hotel or out by the dock in the restaurant.
All-around favorite spot in South florida:
The beach at my dad’s beach house [in Golden Beach], even though I’m not there enough.
If you have out of town guests, which hotel would you recommend?
It depends… for something hip and removed, The Standard. For something close to the beach, Soho Beach House. For something in the heart of South Beach, The Raleigh.
Favorite shopping venue/boutique:
I’m not much of a shopper, but I do like Lincoln road for the convenience and the shops in the Design District.
Best place to buy Jewelry/Watches:
I don't wear a watch.
Best Spa:
The Standard.
Best Steakhouse:
Prime 112
Best Massage:
The best Massage Therapist is Amanda Fisher who comes for in-home visits.
In your opinion, what are the best, most exclusive neighborhoods in your market?
I love the uniqueness and art walls of Wynwood. But now I’m a sucker for South Beach since I’ve moved into the Art Center and everything is walkable. I’m quite a creature of habit and convenience.
Best Salon
I like Lace Nail Lab for my mani/pedi and I have friends that do my hair privately.
If money was no concern, what is your favorite property for sale today?
I would love to buy a deco hotel and convert it into a home with many wings. I haven’t picked it out yet though.
