More than 300 guests gathered at the home of philanthropists Ann and Gordon Getty for the Glogau Teddy Bear Rescue Fund’s annual Snuggly Soiree. The event raised more than $200,000 to benefit the patients and their families at the UCSF Benioff Children’s Hospital. In honor of the event, the Gettys transformed their home, creating a children’s play land with teddy bears, gourmet cookie decorating, arcade games and prizes, face painting, arts and crafts, balloon animals and snacks like mini hamburgers, grilled cheese and milkshakes. Elsewhere in their home, the adults enjoyed cocktails and hors d’oeuvres while mingling with guests including Former San Francisco 49er and Super Bowl champion Dwight Clark and his wife Kelly, as well as UCSF Medical Center and UCSF Benioff Children’s Hospital CEO Mark Laret and UCSF Benioff Children’s Hospital Executive Director Kim Scurr. Guests bid on silent auction packages, with fierce competition over a ‘Dine Around the City’ package with vouchers for nine San Francisco restaurants including Spruce, RN74, Balboa Café and Wayfare Tavern.
