The hautest event in Los Angeles last week was easily the intimate affair presented by Patek Philippe on Thursday evening.
Just 150 VIP guests were invited to a private mansion in Bel-Air to preview the luxury watch retailer’s chronographs and minute repeaters.
Dozens of chronographs as well as historical watches were brought in specially from Geneva and displayed prominently on the manse’s grounds.
A cylindrically shaped, acoustically inspired building was also created to display roughly a dozen minute repeaters.
Cocktails and champagne were followed by a speech from Patek Philippe US President Larry Pettinelli, who also introduced Patek President Thierry Stern.
A short film describing the family-owned business’ long and storied history ensued before guests were treated to a buffet dinner, live music and hand-rolled cigars under the stars.
