A new restaurant is finally opening its doors in Manhattan Beach tonight, and if its pedigree is any indication, it’s going to be one haute hit.
Fraiche and L’Epicerie owner Thierry Perez will open Chez Soi at Metlox Plaza on Manhattan Beach Boulevard alongside business partner Ty Burrell of the hit TV show Modern Family.
He has hired of Mark Gold of West Holloywood’s recently shuttered eatery Eva to act as executive chef.
The menu will change daily and will feature items such as micro-flowers, razor-thin root vegetables, smoked nuts, charred fruit, fish, pasta, and plant-based sides and starters.
Burrell, who also owns Bar X in Salt Lake City, brought in his team to fashion an elaborate cocktail menu.
The jury is still out, but word on the street is that you’ll truly feel “at home” here — especially if chez soi includes a variety of gastronomic gourmet delights.
