As we get closer and closer to Mother’s Day there will be more and more amazing Mother’s Day options, and that’s a good thing because mostly everywhere worth going will be booked up for sure. In an attempt to beat the tons of people that are sure to make reservations, allow me to let you in on a great option at Hotel Monaco (225 North Wabash). In Hotel Monaco’s Paris Ballroom there will be a “Mother’s Day Grand Buffet” Sunday, May 12 form 9AM to 3PM that will be exclusively catered by the hotel’s restaurant, South Water Kitchen.
South Water Kitchen’s Executive Chef Roger Waysok will put together a buffet that will feature five dedicated carving stations, including an Omelet Station, Smoked Salmon Station, Kid’s Station, Carving Station and a Dessert Station. There will be a buffet filled with the chef’s specialties like Vanilla Bean French Toast, Garlic Whipped Potatoes and Crab Cakes with Avocado Aioli. Mmmm…Crab Cakes. For those that would like a little something extra to quench their thirst, for an additional charge guests can take advantage of a tableside Mimosa and Bloody Mary cart that will be making the rounds.
