Chicago House’s Wonderland

Wonderland

Brunch seems to have become just as popular as breakfast these days and for good reason, it’s delicious. Imagine combining it with a good cause, you get to eat brunch all while helping a good cause. Now imagine having a fashion show featuring clothes from amazing Chicago stores on top of that. Sounds great doesn’t it? That’s exactly what’s happening Sunday, May 5th from noon to 3:30PM at the Harold Washington Library (400 South State) in the Winter Garden Ballroom.

Chicago House, the first organization in the Midwest to provide housing and support for people living with HIV and AIDS, will be holding its 26th Annual Spring Brunch and Fashion Show. The event will be called “Wonderland” and will feature a three-course brunch, silent auction and fashion show. The 400+ expected attendees will enjoy a gourmet brunch provided by Jewell Events Catering, sip on cocktails by Absolut and participate in a fantastic 100-item silent auction. Of course the fashion show will be the headliner and will feature Spring looks from AZZA, Cram, Bonobos, Lulu’s On The Avenue, Suit Supply, Ramsey Prince Designs and Ricorso.

Chicago House will also be presenting its annual Spirit award during the Wonderland event. Openly gay Illinois State Representative Kelly Cassidy will be the recipient of the award for her ongoing advocacy for women, the LGBT communities, and Chicago House. Tickets for the event are $200 for Garden Seating (table of ten $2,000), and $300 for Runway seating (table of ten $3,000).
