America’s first celebrity designer, Halston Heritage, has opened its first boutique in Los Angeles at The Beverly Center. Featuring ready-to-wear, dresses, evening gowns, handbags, belts, small leather goods, and an exclusive collection of footwear, the new boutique opened on Friday, three weeks after its first-ever store on Madison Avenue in New York City.

According to The Los Angeles Times, Halston Heritage’s new West Coast flagship at the Beverly Center offers “subtle nods to the master of sexy minimalism,” and includes a glass façade with an “H” graphic derived from the original Halston logo. Inside there are mannequins staged on a platform “meant to evoke the theatricality for which Halston’s models were known.” There is also an amber-and-gray-tone shelving display with handbags, and a floating staircase that leads to the brand’s new footwear collection.

Merchandise includes matte white crocodile pointy toe pumps ($345); a gold linen doctor bag ($495); soft clutch bags ($450); a belted, white shirtdress with box pleat details ($575); slim cream leather and ponte knit pants ($895) and more.

Halston Heritage has been selling at department stores and boutiques for several seasons, but according to Halston Chairman and Chief Executive Ben Malka, the new stores “bring life and context to the vision of the brand.”  Malka took over Halston in 2011 and said of the new Beverly Center location, “I’ve walked it a thousand times in my head.”

Malka told the LA Times, “Whether you know the brand or you don’t, we hoping it doesn’t matter. At the end of the day, you see a beautiful store with everyday stuff that has a certain style and is approachable and affordable.”
