Epic EV’s Torq roadster is the world’s fastest three-wheeled electric vehicle and it will soon be launched in Southern California on April 6 at an unveiling party at Epic EV’s R&D facility in Vista, California.

Though briefly presented during SEMA 2012’s Dub Show Tour, the Torq will be officially unveiled on April 6 when the “first example of the car [will be] delivered to a customer” and the full specifications and accessory pricing details will be released, according to Autoblog. The base price for the Torq Roadster is $65,000.

Autoblog reports that since the original prototype was revealed in 2010, some “major re-engineering” has been done, including exterior design by Designs by 11 and Motive Industries. The vehicle takes four seconds to get from 0-60 and the company hopes to build over 50 cars this year. The all-electric vehicle features precision engineered suspension, carbon fiber body panels, high performance cam suspension and poly carbonate windscreen.
