The pop superstar’s sartorial prowess is being celebrated in RIHtrospective: Seven Rihanna Fashion Moments, a new exhibit marking the launch of the Rihanna for River Island collection.
The new collection, which is available exclusively at Opening Ceremony stateside, launches today, March 5th. To mark the debut, Rihanna curated the exhibition of seven of her most famous outfits from red carpet and stage appearances. Seven is a lucky number for the artist, whose recent 777 Tour charted a Delta Boeing 777 plane on a 7-day, 7-country, 7-show tour; not to mention her 7 Grammys, 7 Billboard awards, and the fact that she’s on her 7th album (Unapologetic).
Rihanna’s stylist Mel Ottenberg told us, “Opening Ceremony is my favorite store for Rihanna, so it’s perfect that the Rihanna for River Island collection will be available there. The clothes are fresh and cool for the girls of New York, LA and Tokyo that share Rihanna’s cool, relaxed style. I’m excited to see girls rocking these clothes around town.” The Rihanna for River Island Spring/Summer 2013 collection is available stateside exclusively at Opening Ceremony’s New York, Ace Hotel and Los Angeles locations.
Last night Opening Ceremony celebrated the exhibit at their flagship New York boutique on Howard Street. RIHtrospective: Seven Rihanna Fashion Moments will be on display for the next three weeks.
