The NASCAR Hauler Parade, the traditional kickoff for Las Vegas Motor Speedway’s NASCAR Weekend, took place on Wednesday under the fabulous neon lights of the Las Vegas Strip.

The colorful 18-wheelers that carry the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series race cars and equipment to the tracks began near the iconic Welcome to Las Vegas sign at 6 p.m moving north on Las Vegas Boulevard and proceeding approximately five miles to Sahara Avenue to enter Interstate 15 North to complete the journey to the Las Vegas Motor Speedway.

More than 50 haulers took part in the parade as race fans from both sides of the Strip cheered on their favorite racing teams.

NASCAR Weekend racing at the speedway begins on Friday with Stratosphere Pole Day. The NASCAR Nationwide Series takes center stage on Saturday with the annual Sam’s Town 300 at 1:15 p.m. The NASCAR Sprint Cup Series Kobalt Tools 400 is scheduled to start at noon on Sunday. NASCAR Weekend brings 112,000 out-of-town race fans to Las Vegas March 8–10.
