The folks over at Mercat a la Planxa (638 South Michigan Ave) always have something up their sleeves. The Catalan-inspired restaurant constantly does things to mix it up while creating amazing dishes for guest to enjoy. Starting Sunday April 7, 2013 and every following Sunday they will offer a pork-centric four-course menu featuring their signature Cochinillo Asado with craft beer pairing. Basically, that means they will be having a four course menu centering on a whole roasted suckling pig, along with additional tapas dishes. Usually large parties order the whole pig and it normally costs $440, but with this Sunday dinner series you can get a piece of the pig for just $45.

“Our Cochinillo Asado, or whole roasted suckling pig, is our signature experience here at Mercat,” says Chef de Cuisine Cory Morris. “The whole pig is a show stopper for larger parties and upscale events and now we are offering all of our guests a taste of that experience.” If you’re a pork lover, Mercat a la Planxa is the place to be on Sundays. And if you were wondering what else you get with the meal, look no further, I have the entire four-course menu below:
