Kobe Bryant Named New Hublot Ambassador in LA

A more perfect collaboration could not have been made on Wednesday evening as Kobe Bryant was named as Hublot’s newest ambassador.

The LA Lakers great celebrated his new role with a haute fete on the rooftop of the London West Hollywood.

Hublot CEO Ricardo Guadalupe was on hand to present Bryant with the Limited Edition King Power Black Mamba, a signature timepiece created specifically for the NBA star.

The presentation was followed by a basketball shoot-off with two children from After-School All Stars Los Angeles, a charitable beneficiary of the Kobe & Vanessa Bryant Family Foundation.  Simply by taking shots from a makeshift basketball court constructed over the hotel’s rooftop pool, the contest raised $30,000 for the program.

Afterwards, the brand hosted an intimate dinner in partnership with GQ that was attended by Zac Efron, Jimmy Kimmel, Mark Salling, Jesse Williams, Garcelle Beauvais, Brad Goreski, and Christos Garkinos.

During the dinner, Guadalupe presented Bryant with a special Jeroboam of Dom Perignon vintage 1998, one of 50 in existence.

Bryant joins the ranks of elite Hublot athletes including fellow basketball star Dwyane Wade of the Miami Heat, famed Olympian Usain Bolt and soccer legend Diego Maradona.
