Mayor Antonio R. Villaraigosa was in high spirits on Saturday night as he donned a mask to attend the UNCF Los Angeles Mayor’s Masked Ball.
Earvin “Magic” Johnson and Sheryl Underwood were honored at the second annual event held at the Hilton Los Angeles/Universal City.
Johnson and Underwood, co-host of “The Talk”, were recognized for their “dedication to providing resources for students seeking higher education.”
Guests including Loretta Devine, Billy Davis Jr. and Marilyn McCoo were among the attendees at the event, which benefitted the United Negro College Fund (UNCF).
The evening capped with a performance from The Whispers.
