On April 26, the Adrienne Arsht Center will be holding its annual fundraising gala. The 2013 gala will take place at the John S. and James L. Knight Concert Hall, where the venue’s orchestra level will be transformed into a “festival floor”. Alongside the elegant setting will be unforgettable entertainment. The evening will feature performances by one of the entertainment world’s most beloved and recognized performer, Harry Connick Jr.
Harry Connick Jr. has achieved tremendous success as a singer, conductor, pianist, actor and composer. He is the recipient of three Grammy Awards, three Emmy Awards and two Tony Award nominations. The multi-talented performer will take the stage and present an intimate show for Miami’s philanthropic, business and civic leaders.
Two of South Florida’s leading philanthropists, Swanee and Paul DiMare, will Chair the 2013 gala. The DiMare’s Miami causes include Fairchild Tropical Botanical Garden, the American Red Cross and the Buoniconti Fund. Swanne’s thoughts on Connick Jr.’s special Gala performance, “We are thrilled that our Gala attendees will have a chance to see him perform up close and personal at the Arsht Center. This once-in-a-lifetime experience is not to be missed.”
