Patrick Robinson has been a much lauded California-born designer whose career has taken him from Giorgio Armani, Anne Klein, Perry Ellis, Paco Rabanne to most recently being the Head Designer of Gap. When he left the position and San Francisco in May of 2011, he spent much time soul-searching.
As he explains on his new kickstarter page: “My son suddenly turned to me and asked me what I wanted to be when I grew up. I laughed at first, but after a few weeks, I realized my son had planted a seed that made me question what the hell I had been doing with my life. Somewhere between Giorgio Armani and the GAP, I had stopped designing clothes and had instead become the guy who manages the people who design the clothes. What do I want to do when I grow up? What I’ve always wanted to do; I love to design clothing. Simple, beautiful, comfortable clothing that people can afford. It was this desire that led to my new endeavor: PASKHO – ancient Greek for passion. PASKHO is my passion.”
PASKHO is about cool, sexy, urban clothes designed for pursuing your passions. Designed with figure flattering fits and made with incredible fabrics like slub cotton, modal and cashmere blends, we at Haute Living can’t help but indulge ourselves to add on to our Lululemon-based-BarMethod-to-Balboa-Cafe-brunch collection.
You can take the boy out of San Francisco, but you can’t take the San Franciscan out of the boy. Instead of doing typical middle-men, corporate funding and raising, he’s taking on the evolving fashion world by utilizing tech-start up Kickstarter. With each level of donation gets you a different item with much flexibility. There’s both mens and womenswear. Our favorites are here:
