When the day calls for a warm-up in a hot tub after a day on the ski hill, or a cool dip post-hiking, the best pools in Aspen’s hotels have the cure for every weary traveler.
1 39 Degrees at the Sky Hotel
Playboy calls the Sky Hotel's pool one of the hottest in the country, and if you stop by on a weekend afternoon you'll see why. In the winter, it's filled with thirsty skiers who flock to the 39 Degrees lounge for an apres-ski drink and snack. In the summer, bikini-clad partiers take over the pool area for drinks and dancing which means that the sun isn't the only thing that's hot.
2 Viceroy Snowmass
Cabanas, a sushi bar and slushy drinks basically guarantee a good time when you're poolside. But, if that's not enough, the unbeatable views of the Owl Creek Valley and surrounding Snowmass ski area should do the job.
3 The Little Nell
One of The Little Nell's bragging rights is that it's a ski-in, ski-out property--along with also being Aspen's only five-star resort. On top of that, the hotel also boasts a slopeside pool and courtyard. Head up the mountain to check out the Residences at the Little Nell's pool, which is rooftop above Aspen Mountain, and the experience may just surpass that five-star mark.
4 Hotel Jerome
Though the pool at the Hotel Jerome was recently remodeled, it still sits on one of the most historic properties in town. Built in 1889, the property is one of Aspen's crown jewels, and its courtyard pool tucked off of Main Street is an intimate and serene place to spend an afternoon or grab a boozy milkshake--also known as the popular Aspen Crud.
5 St. Regis Aspen
St. Regis properties are synonymous with luxury and the pool at this slopeside location is no different. Fresh, fruit-infused water, small snack platters and cushy towels and chaise lounge chairs are just some of the amenities that pool-goers will find here.
