The Miracle Mile Shops at Planet Hollywood Resort held a pep rally for the USA Eagles, who are competing in the 2013 USA Sevens international rugby tournament Feb. 8-10 at Sam Boyd Stadium.

The festivities began at 10:30 a.m. with music and light bites from PBR Rock Bar & Grill. The rally kicked off just after 11 a.m. with a performance by the USA Sevens cheerleaders followed by opening remarks from Miracle Mile Shops senior director of marketing Wendy Albert. Next, USA Sevens executive vice president and tournament director Dan Lyle took the stage to introduce and welcome the Arbor View High School Drum Line for a performance. Following the high-energy set, Lyle introduced USA Eagles Head Coach Alexander Magleby and members of the USA Eagles including rising rugby star Carlin Isles. After a few remarks from Magleby, students from Glen Taylor Elementary School concluded the celebration by singing “Let’s Keep America Great” and “Let the Games Begin” to the crowd.

This year, Miracle Mile Shops sponsored Glen Taylor Elementary in USA Sevens Rugby’s Adopt-A-Country program in which sixteen schools in the Clark County School District were matched with a nation competing in the USA Sevens International Rugby Tournament. The program allowed students from each school to learn more about a nation’s cultures and traditions. Glen Taylor Elementary partnered with the USA Eagles.
