The 85th Annual Academy Awards will be held this Sunday, February 24, 2013. And while you may be in Chicago, you can still enjoy the Oscars in style. I have found two amazing Oscar Night parties that are not only going to be great, but are both for a good cause. One is in the heart of downtown and the other is in Rosemont. I’m endorsing both, but you have to make the final decision on which one suits you. Just get out the house and enjoy Oscar night around fellow Hollywood fanatics. Your Oscar night choices include:
Third Annual Vital Nights Oscar Viewing Party: The Vital Bridges Center on Chronic Care Junior Networking Committee will be hosting this event at Chick’s Manufacturing (224 North Michigan Avenue) starting at 6pm Sunday night. You will be sipping on cocktails and nibbling on tasty bites courtesy of event sponsors SVEDKA Vodka and Chuck’s while enjoying the skills of DJ Megan Taylor. Guests can enjoy sweets courtesy of Garrett Popcorn Shops and have the chance to win several great raffle prizes including a Trunk Club gift certificate, styling session with celebrity stylist Eric Himel, 25 Degrees burger party and more. Tickets are $65 and can be purchased by visiting www.heartlandalliance.org/vital/events and proceeds will benefit Vital Bridges Center on Chronic Care.
An Evening With The Stars: This is Chicago’s premiere Oscar party to benefit Autism Speaks. After raising over $150,000 last year, they have decided to hold the event once again at the Intercontinental O’Hare Hotel (5300 North River Road, Rosemont) on Sunday (Feb. 24) night. Chicago’s Best Ted Brunson, 190 North’s Mark Nillson, and OWN Network/Comdienne Patti Vasquez will host the event. This is truly a Hollywood-inspired Oscar party, complete with red carpet arrival and interviews, plated dinner and premium bar, movie themed cocktails, silent and live auctions, raffle, celebrity guests and more. Tickets start off at $200 for individuals and all proceeds will benefit Autism Speaks. Pick up your tickets here.
