amfAR New York Gala at Cipriani Wall Street

 By the end of the evening, more than $2.3 million was raised for the organization’s life-saving HIV and AIDS research initiatives.

Some of New York City’s biggest and brightest stars gathered at Cipriani Wall Street for the annual amfAR New York Gala on February 6 in support of AIDS research. Following a heartfelt opening speech by Sarah Jessica Parker, guests enjoyed performances by Grammy-winning recording artist CeeLo Green, critically acclaimed singer Santigold, and Broadway star Alan Cumming.

The event continued with a live auction of extraordinary prizes, including an evening clutch engraved with the message “we are all potential carriers,” designed by Parker and amfAR Chairman Kenneth Cole. By the end of the evening, more than $2.3 million was raised for the organization’s life-saving HIV and AIDS research initiatives.

The electric gathering of megawatt stars included Janet Jackson, Heidi Klum, Governor Andrew Cuomo, Mayor Michael Bloomberg, Michael Kors, John Legend, Andy Cohen, Woody Allen and Soon-Yi Previn, Carine Roitfeld, John Demsey, Donna Karan, Karlie Kloss, Doutzen Kroes, Lily Donaldson, Katharine McPhee, Ashley Greene, Cuba Gooding Jr., John Leguizamo, Jenna Elfman and Chloë Sevigny.
