As you must have noticed, there’s a new shiny place in town for the epi-curious to explore. Nespresso is at 90 Grant Street, on the corner with Geary, serving up posh premium coffee drinks and seasonal snacks in the perfect location of haute Union Square. With neighbors like Hermes, Prada and Christofle, this Italian brand of coffee dedicated to sleek designs has found its first West Coast home here in San Francisco.
They recently threw a fabulous fete complete with a decked out trolley to celebrate the entry into the West Coast. “We’re seeing a renaissance of coffee culture re-emerge in the U.S. and we’re thrilled to have the opportunity to share a new premium coffee experience with San Francisco residents. San Francisco is a natural fit for Nespresso because the epicurean city is known for its appreciation for premium coffee offerings and quality products,” said Frederic Levy , President of Nespresso USA. “Our new Boutique Bar is emblematic of our brand and the unique Nespresso experience that we are proud and excited to introduce to the area. The Boutique is a place where people can relax and explore our deep coffee expertise – which is so important as Nespresso builds its presence in new markets.”
The party goers explored the boutique downstairs where a space is dedicated to Club Members who are already familiar with the brand and who are looking for a shopping experience at their own pace. A self-check-out automatically scans the contents of the Club Member’s bag upon swiping their Nespresso Club Members N Pass Card and charges their account. Quite a nod to the tech-savvy SF, as this is the Nespresso shop in the U.S. with this special area. There was finger foods from different countries for guests to nibble on as well as a special cocktail consisting of espresso caviar, raspberry coulis and champange.
Drop on by to check out the beautifully designed space with interior lounge furniture from Fritz Hansen including the iconic Egg chair and Favh sofa; Flos Arco floor light; and Cappellini Sunset chair.
