Haute Event: ArtPoint’s Girl with a Pearl Earring Valentine’s Day Gala on 2/9/13

Everyone loves pearls.  Coco Chanel did and so did Vermeer.  Here’s the perfect party to be dripping in Mikimoto.

On Saturday, February 9, 2013, join ArtPoint in Golden Gate Park as we transform the de Young into an ultra-chic Dutch-inspired wonderland. Celebrate the arrival of Girl With a Pearl Earring and Rembrandt’s Century, and the closing days of Rudolf Nureyev: A Life in Dance with an after-hours party at the museum.   the deYoung is honored to be the first US venue to be showing this world famous Vermeer.  Event highlights include late-night access to the special exhibition galleries, dancing to the beats of DJ Vin Sol, hors d’oeuvres, chocolate tasting, an open bar serving decadent cocktails, and of course, world-famous works of art. This is a rendezvous for lovers and singles alike, so collect your sweetheart or all of your friends for an evening of opulence.

In a final celebration of this exhibition, guests are invited to view a very special performance by the San Francisco Ballet School Trainee Program in the Koret Auditorium.  ArtPoint is offering two seatings, one at 7:30 pm, and a second at 8:30 pm.

In addition to the above, VIP guests enjoy a pre-party from 7-8 pm, tours of The Girl With a Pearl Earring from 7-9 pm, and all-night access to an exclusive VIP lounge offering a wide variety of appetizers, cocktails and sparkling wine from Moreno BHLV.
