Cochon Celebrates Fifth Anniversary in New York

Cochon celebrates its fifth anniversary in New York, and this year it’s all about the ladies. For the first year ever, the five competing chefs are all females with the line up including Alex Guaraschelli of Butter and The Derby; Missy Robbins from A Voce; Shanna Pacifico of Black Forty West; Elizabeth Falkner of Kresendo; and Leah Cohen of Pig & Khao.

The traveling culinary competition and tasting event was created to promote sustainable farming of heritage breed pigs will kick off on Sunday, Feb 10 at 4 p.m. at Chelsea Piers in New York with five chefs, five pigs and five wineries at each event, before continuing on to 10 cities across the country.

As part of the 5th Anniversary Celebration, Cochon 555 will host an intimate “Chef’s Course” Guest Chef & Winemaker Dinner featuring past Cochon 555 chef-participants and an unexpected evening of hanging out behind the scenes with Team Cochon – Friday, February 8, at The Cannibal (113 East 29th Street, New York City); $150 per person; for reservations, call (212) 686-5480.
