On March 24, Walt Disney Chairman Alan Horn and his wife Cindy will host a fundraiser at their Bel Air house for Massachusetts’s senate candidate Ed Markey with legendary singer-songwriter Carole King scheduled to headline the event.

The Hollywood Reporter obtained a ‘save the date,’ and reported “tickets to the event are priced at a hefty $5,200 to co-host and $2,600 per person to attend.” Markey is seeking to succeed Senator John Kerry, who is now the Secretary of State. The election to fill the seat will be held on June 25, but first Markey will face another Democratic congressman, Stephen Lynch on April 30 for the primary.

In 2004, Carole King headlined a fundraiser for John Kerry’s presidential campaign, an event that brought in $600,000. According to USAToday, approximately 300 guests paid $2,000 each to attend and King sang hits like ‘You’ve Got a Friend’ and ‘I Feel the Earth Move’.
