Caio Fonseca Opens New Show at 212 Gallery

New York artist Caio Fonseca will host an artist’s reception tonight at 212 Gallery to debut his new works, from 6-9 p.m. His new body of work, on exhibit through April 15, features both large-scale and intimate paintings which play with form and movement.

Fonseca lives and works in Manhattan, and spent the last two summers in Aspen. His paintings belong to the permanent collections of, among others, The Museum of Modern Art, the Whitney Museum of American Art, The Museum of Fine Arts, the Smithsonian Institution and The Metropolitan Museum of Art. His work was presented in museum retrospectives at the Corcoran Gallery of Art in Washington, D.C. and at the Institut Valencià d’Art Modern (IVAM), in Valencia, Spain.

212 Gallery features established and emerging international artists working in photography, painting, sculpture and video.
