Suzanne Goin + Caroline Styne to Cater the SAG Awards

The haute Hollywood stars attending this year’s SAG Awards are in for a treat, as their dinner will be catered by none other than Suzanne Goin and Caroline Styne.

James Beard Award-winning chef Goin, together with award-winning sommelier Styne, owns three of Los Angeles’ hottest restaurants. Their establishments include 11-year-old Lucques, former carriage house of silent film star Harold Lloyd, A.O.C. Wine Bar and Tavern.

They have also recently opened The Larder at Rick Caruso’s new residential development, 8500 Burton Way.

The Lucques Catering team will provide gourmet dishes for the likes of nominees Hugh Jackman, Daniel Day-Lewis, Helen Mirren, Javier Bardem and Nicole Kidman.

SAG Committee Chair JoBeth Williams said of Goin’s involvement: “The SAG Awards challenges a chef to create a single plate that appeals to both the eye and the palate and as a televised event requires impeccable service that is efficient and unobtrusive.  We are confident we have found both in Lucques Catering, as well as an eco-consciousness that parallels our own.”

This 16th annual celebration of the year’s finest performances will be telecast on TNT and TBS on Saturday, Jan. 23, 2010 from the Los Angeles Shrine Exposition Center.
