Ben Affleck Accepts Award From Pal Matt Damon at the Santa Barbara Int’l Film Festival — VIDEO

Ben Affleck is racking up award upon award this season for his film on the Iranian hostage crisis, Argo.
The actor/director/producer was presented with the Santa Barbara International Film Festival’s top prize, the Modern Master Award, over the weekend.
His presenter: none other than childhood friend and Good Will Hunting co-scribe Matt Damon.

After a two-hour Q&A session moderated by film critic Leonard Maltin, Affleck, 40, received his accolade at Santa Barbara’s Arlington Theatre.

In his presentation, Damon said of his friend: “So here he is now. He’s made three fantastic movies, one better than the next… This last one, Argo, is a legitimately great movie… No one’s gonna be surprised if it wins the Oscar for best picture.” He then referred to Affleck as “undeniably two things — my very old friend and a very young master” before calling his pal up to the podium and giving him a bro-hug.
