World’s Most Expansive Barbie Doll Retails For $625,000

Barbie already has a killer wardrobe, a dream house and an even dreamier beau, but now she’s getting decked out in diamonds! Mattel commissioned the famous jeweler Stefano Canturi to create the world’s most expensive Barbie doll. Priced at $624,734 and featuring rare Australian pink diamonds, the Barbie by Canturi wears a necklace made up of three carats of white diamonds around a collectible one carat square.

If six-figures seems too over the top, De Beers designed a diamond Barbie that comes dressed in a long gown flaunting 160 diamonds complemented by white gold miniature jewelry for $85,000.

For the little girl that dreams about living the big city life, consider Lorraine Schwartz‘s diamond-studded Barbie. Dressed in a little black dress and sky-high heels, this fashionista Barbie features $25,000 worth of diamond accessories and sells for $7,500. Or check out fashion designer Devi Kroell‘s fashion-forward Barbie sporting in a black wool coat and sparkly gold pants for $1,075.

Collectors will go wild for the first Bob Mackie designed Barbie called the “Gold Barbie.” A rare, autographed Gold Barbie is up for grabs at eBay for a cool $1,200. The online retailer also sells a limited-edition Barbie created by handbag designer Judith Leiber. The $975 doll is dressed in a strapless cocktail dress made of taupe lace and adorned with tiny golden sequins. Other embellishments include a golden minaudiere covered with topaz-colored crystals and a “B” for Barbie.
