Ever wonder what the most powerful leaders, business execs and celebrities keep on their desks? Well, we’re about to tell you. Our biweekly “What’s on My Desk” feature will take a look inside the offices and at the desks of the world’s most influential power players.
This week we’ve featured Michael Chow, the co-founder of ultra-luxe restaurant chain Mr. Chow. In addition to his Beverly Hills eatery, this restaurateur has expanded his brand to places such as London, Las Vegas, Miami and New York. Recently, he was appointed as one of the 12 member board of governors called “The Broad” for Eli and Edythe Broad’s three story $130 million dollar Contemporary Art Museum in downtown Los Angeles. Here, Michael offers Haute Living a look at some of the items on his desk.
1. Frames, leather mat, Mikasa ebony inkwell & blotter, metal pen holder with inkwell and desk are all from Emile Jacques Ruhlmann.
2.Black & white photo of my wife, Eva. It was taken from a photobooth at Brett Retner’s home. It was also published in his book, “The Photo Booth Pictures.”
3. Portrait of Brian Grazer. Whenever he visits a home for the first time, he leaves a heart-shaped framed photograph of himself and I treasure it dearly.
