Haute Event: The Chefs Come Out to Celebrate ‘Eating Las Vegas’

Frank Pellegrino Jr. and chef Nicole Grimes of Rao’s at Caesars Palace hosted a launch party for the 2013 edition of “Eating Las Vegas: The 50 Essential Restaurants,” written by food critics John Curtas, Max Jacobson and Al Mancini on Tuesday night.

Robin Leach served as the master of ceremonies for the third consecutive year, where he presented  the esteemed Top Ten awards to 10 restaurants honored in this edition, including Marché Bacchus French Bistro and Wine Shop, Piero Selvaggio’s Valentino at the Venetian, Raku Japanese Charcoal Grill, Estiatorio Milos at the Cosmopolitan, Joël Robuchon and L’Atelier de Joël Robuchon at MGM Grand, Restaurant Guy Savoy at Caesars Palace, CUT at Palazzo and Le Cirque and Picasso at Bellagio.

The lively party was attended by an array of Vegas’ celebrated chefs and restaurateurs, including Rick Moonen of RM Seafood; Mary Sue Milliken, Susan Feniger and Mike Minor of Border Grill; Kerry Simon of Simon; Luciano Pellegrini of Valentino; Mitsuo Endo of Raku; Alex Stratta, Dave Middleton and Jeff and Rhonda Wyatt of Marché Bacchus; Steve Benjamin of L’Atelier de Joël Robuchon; Mathieu Chartron of Guy Savoy; and Jason Neve of B&B Ristorante and Carnevino.
