Chris Crary, Haute Living‘s pick for rising chef of 2012, is making major moves in the food industry.
The Viceroy’s chef de cuisine will not only be the head chef at Santa Monica’s newest members-only club, 41 Ocean, but he’ll be a partner in the business, as well.
The Bravo star sat down with HL to share his excitement over his new venture.
Crary tell us: “I’m super excited for the restaurant, as I’m a partner in the business: this will be my first ever official restaurant! I designed the kitchen, picked out the plates and silverware, hired the staff, made the menus, everything…. So this is my baby, and it is going to amazing!”
He continues to describe the location: “The space is beautiful, it’s a 1930’s-40’s style Spanish revival. There’s a lot of repurposed wood, artifacts from the era, and once inside you’ll really be transported back to the past; it’s very vintage California.”

It is slated to open in January 2013.
