The Fashion Group International Honors Carolina Herrera and L’Wren Scott

Global non-profit organization the Fashion Group International honored designers Carolina Herrera and L’Wren Scott last week at the Night of Stars Gala at Cipriani Wall Street in New York.

The Fashion Group International has five thousand members in the fashion industry and last week they paused to honor two shining stars, Carolina Herrera and L’Wren Scott during their Night of Stars gala held in New York City. According to Fashion United, Herrera was presented with the top honor, the “Superstar” award, for being an “international icon and brilliant business woman.” Designer Scott was presented with the Lord & Taylor Fashion Oracle Award.

Other honorees at the event included the Maramotti family of MaxMara, who won the Heritage Award, and Tiffany & Co who were recognized for their sustainability in the industry. In addition, Derek Lam, Gareth Pugh and Haider Ackermann received awards for their accomplishments in the areas of architecture, business, entertainment, fashion and humanitarian efforts.

Previous “Superstar” award winners include Donna Karan, Valentino, Karl Lagerfeld, Oscar de la Renta and Giorgio Armani.
