Chicago’s Untitled Speakeasy

At 18,000 square feet, new restaurant and lounge Untitled is a huge homage to speakeasies of old. Untitled has four bars, a stage and a menu full of classic food nestled into River North. Hidden behind huge unmarked wood doors at 111 W. Kinzie St., it’s a transformation back to the days of flapper girls and dapper gentlemen, with the vibe of an old time supper club. The leather-paneled walls are a perfect background to a library filled with the largest American Whiskey selection in the nation, 255 to be exact. The whiskey can cost you anywhere between $6 on the low end to $199 for the 16 year A.H. Hirsch reserve. For those who have a taste for something a little bubblier, there’s also a Champagne bar with 17 different offerings.

You can enjoy your Manhattan Clam Chowder and rib eye while listening to live jazz and blues in the spacious lounge. Untitled is the rare occurrence of an upscale establishment where you can have a down-home good time. It’s not stuffy, Untitled is a place where you can let your hair down and enjoy yourself while sipping on amazing spirits. Unless you have a time machine that can transport you back to Prohibition-era Chicago, this is the closest you are going to get to a great Chicago speakeasy.
