35 LA Pastry Chefs Unite for C-Cap Organization

On Saturday, November 17th, The International Culinary School at the Art Institute of California in Santa Monica will be hosting a phenomenal benefit for C-Cap. Many are familiar with C-Cap, one of our nation’s culinary arts training program for public high school students.

The awesome event is called “Getting Our Just Desserts,” which includes tastings from BLD’s doughnut-extraordinaire Mariah Swan, and Marcel Vigneron, Spago’s Sherry Yard, 35 of the very best bakers, confectioners and pastry chefs, along with chefs from Coolhaus, MB Post, Picca, Euro Pane, Patina and A-Frame, just to name a few and all for $50.

The benefit features more than just tastings, but also classes and demos by Charles Perry, Duff Goldman and Evan Kleiman, a “Just Desserts Challenge” with C-Cap grads, celebrity author book signings and a silent auction.

Tickets are available online for $50 and at the door for $75. VIP tickets are $100, which includes a gift bag, access to the cooking challenge and provides an extra hour.

The wonderful benefit “Getting Our Just Desserts,” will take place at 2900 31st St. Santa Monica on November 17th, 2 p.m. to 5 p.m.
