Haute Event: Michelle Pfeiffer Raises $1.8 Million for Cancer Research at Elyse Walker’s Pink Party

Infrequently seen star Michelle Pfeiffer made a rare public appearance over the weekend to host an event in the name of cancer research.

The 54-year-old actress helped to raise $1.6 million as she hosted Elyse Walker’s 8th annual Pink Party for the Cedars Sinai Women’s Cancer Program at the Samuel Oschin Comprehensive Cancer Institute on Saturday evening.

Guests were treated to nibbles like coconut shrimp with orange chili plum sauce, Kobe beef gorgonzola sliders and lollipop lamb chops while imbibing the evening’s specialty cocktail, a pink grapefruit mojito with vodka, grapefruit liqueur, fresh pink grapefruit juice, fresh lime juice, fresh mint, simple syrup, sparkling water and mint sprig garnish.

In addition to Pfeiffer and husband David E. Kelley, Leslie Mann, Judd Apatow, Marcia Cross, Olivia Munn, Frances Fisher, Francesca Eastwood, Giada de Laurentiis, Katie McGrath and JJ Abrams, Maria Menounos, Michael Chiklis, Lisa Edelstein, Michael Weatherly, Ming Na, Jeri Ryan, Joey McIntyre, Ken Kaufman, Isaac Franco and Nicholas Kirkwood were among the 800+ guests in attendance at Santa Monica’s Hangar 8.

The theme of the evening was fashion. A 48-foot runway was built to showcase different looks from various designers such as Barbara Bui, Brunello Cucinelli, Chloé, J.Mendel, KaufmanFranco, Kelly Wearstler, Stella McCartney and Valentino.

After the high-end fashion portion of the evening concluded, the catwalk was transformed into a dance floor, where guests got down to music provided by DJ C.C. Sheffield; “NCIS” star Michael Weatherly acted as auctioneer.
