R&B icon Ginuwine celebrated his 42nd birthday on Saturday night at LAX Nightclub at the Luxor. He arrived just after 1 a.m. with his entourage and sat at a VIP table on the main stage.

Cocktail servers presented him with a two-tiered, black and silver birthday cake decorated with black music notes from Gimme Some Sugar. Ginuwine, seen with a big smile on his face, held his cake up high for all of his fans to see.

Around 2 a.m., Ginuwine’s official DJ Fellin hopped on the mic and got the attention of guests when he introduced the suave vocalist and welcomed him center stage. The entire nightclub soared as Ginuwine began his set with the popular hit “Hell Yeah.” The energetic singer gave his fans a mini-concert when he danced around the club performing his chart toppers including “Same Ol’ G,” “So Anxious” and had his fans singing along as he serenaded a few lucky ladies with “In Those Jeans.”

During his performance, Ginuwine took a moment to talk to the crowd saying, “I love you all, I love LAX. You guys always give me love when I come out here.” He also mentioned his upcoming album with new R&B group TGT, saying he hopes to come back to perform with them and the crowd screamed as they heard the news.

Just before the singer brought his set to an end DJ Fellin had the entire nightclub sing “Happy Birthday” to Ginuwine. Confetti flew through the air while Ginuwine jumped into the crowd and began his track “Pony.” Ginuwine ended his performance, said once last thank you and took a bow.

Ginuwine welcomed fans to take photos with him at his VIP booth and he spent the rest of his evening celebrating with friends and his admirers.
