Debbie Wingham’s World’s Most Expensive Dress Worth $5.6 Million

The world’s most expensive dress is estimated to be worth $5.6 million and it was unveiled during a fashion show in the Ukraine. Designed by British designer Debbie Wingham, the dress features 50 two-carat black diamonds.

Weighing approximately 28lbs, the dress was unveiled at a fashion show in the Ukraine along with several other diamond-encrusted dresses from Wingham’s collection. Twenty-five of the diamonds line the dress’ peplum while the others line the shoulder shrug. Wingham, who sewed the dress herself, calls the dress “an anthem for a beautiful woman who loves life.”

On the bustier of the dress is a centerpiece of five carats of black diamonds.

According to Wingham, “The rest of the embellishment is fine beading and delicate white diamonds set in white gold with a very fine chainmail detail to add more individuality, setting the embellishment on this gown apart from any other world’s most expensive gowns.”

The dress was officially launched at the Billionaires’ Club in Monte Carlo before going on a tour that ended at the Ukraine Fashion Week.

According to reports, other extremely expensive dresses include the world’s most expensive cocktail dress priced at $15 million and featuring 85 diamonds, and the most expensive prom dress priced at $14,000.
