A. JENNIFER ANISTON GETS ENGAGED

It’sofficial: Jennifer Aniston is going to tie the knot for a second time! Her boyfriend of over a year, Justin Theroux, proposed on August 10th, the date of his 41st birthday. Aniston, of course, said yes.

In a statement, his rep said: “Justin Theroux had an amazing birthday on Friday, receiving an extraordinary gift when his girlfriend, Jennifer Aniston, accepted his proposal of marriage.”

The newly engaged couple met on the set of their 2011 film, “Wanderlust.”

Shortly after, she enthused on “Good Morning America”: “Yes, I’m very happy. I’m extremely lucky, and I’m extremely happy.”

B. LEONARDO DICAPRIO BECOMES AN EQUITY INVESTOR IN FISKER AUTOMOTIVE

Leonardo DiCaprio has become an equity investor with the environmentally-friendly Fisker Automotive Company.

With this new partnership, the “Inception” star will feature in the car manufacturer’s future plans for the advancement of sustainable vehicles and support his own charity, the Leonardo DiCaprio Foundation.

Of this venture, DiCaprio said: “My foundation supports efforts to secure a sustainable future for our planet and all its inhabitants. I am delighted to be working with Fisker Automotive to promote this shared vision.”

He currently drives a Fisker Karma luxury electric vehicle, which has a price tag of $95,000.

C. QUINCY JONES TO SCORE LEE DANIELS’ ‘THE BUTLER’

Quincy Jones has a haute new project.

The legendary musician, composer and producer will score Lee Daniels’ upcoming historical drama, “The Butler.”

Jones, 79, has provided music for films like The “Italian Job”, “The Hot Rock”, “The Getaway”,” In the Heat of the Night” and “The Anderson Tapes.”

A project of this magnitude could mean another Oscar for Jones, who already has six under his belt.

“The Butler” stars Forrest Whitaker as Eugene Allen, a butler in the White House’s employ for over three decades.The film also stars Oprah Winfrey, Alan Rickman, Robin Williams, James Marsden, Jane Fonda, Alex Pettyfer and Minka Kelly.

D. FRANK GEHRY TO DESIGN NEW FACEBOOK CAMPUS

Facebook has just announced that the designer of its new Menlo Park Campus is none other than Frank Gehry.

In a blog post, Facebook’s environmental design manager Everett Katigbak revealed how the collaboration came to pass. Katigbak wrote that he had met with the world renowned architect several months ago in LA.

He said: “His office is a giant warehouse overflowing with handmade, wooden models juxtaposed with state-of-the-art architecture software (some of which is designed by Frank’s in-house team). His teams are filled with people who are unbelievably talented and love what they do. The whole thing reminded me of Facebook, so that when I met Frank, I already knew he was a perfect fit for us.”

Facebook’s new extension will be “a large, one room building that somewhat resembles a warehouse.” The structure will house about 2,800 engineers and should be finished by early 2013.

Gehry’s design will take into account Facebook’s engineering culture, provide cafes and small kitchens, “break-away” spaces for brain-storming sessions, a rooftop garden and an underground tunnel connecting the campus to Facebook’s current space.

E. TOM CRUISE & KATIE HOLMES DIVORCE FINALIZED

It’s officially over for the couple once known as TomKat.

Katie Holmes and Tom Cruise are now divorced and moving on with their lives.

Papers filed in a New York courthouse reveal that their marriage was terminated on August 20th, 53 days after Holmes filed for divorce and just 42 days after they reached a settlement.

The former power couple have one child together, six-year-old daughter Suri.
