On August 31st, the DKNY flagship store in Gangnam’s Chungdamdong celebrated the launch of the 2012 Fall/Winter Collection.

Korean stars Min Hyo Rin, Tiffany, Krystal and Victoria were in attendance for the showing of the upcoming DKNY collection, which takes inspirations from rebellious American youths after WWII and the “beat generation”. With pieces described as “city chic” and “modern sensitivity”, the collection pays homage to “real New Yorkers”.

The men’s collection also pulls from New York with “beat movement and sophistication” mixed together for an overall “tough” aesthetic.

Donna Karen’s Fall/Winter 2012 collection features plenty of black with the silhouette mostly squared and embellished with precious fur details or obi-like belts designed using different kinds of leather, including crocodile. The womenswear features feminine and sexy short and flirty A-line skirts mixed with more simple and severe shapes, often embellished with flirty and feminine details. Other colors used in the collection included grey, navy, blue, scarlet red, white and even some bright shades like fuchsia and electric blue.

Additional Korean stars in attendance included Park Tae Hwan, Lee Sang Yoon, CN BLUE’s Jonghyun and Lee Jung Shin.
