For any automotive enthusiast, this weekend is the highlight of the summer.  Monterey car week is in full swing with exotics, antiques and one-offs flooding into the picturesque towns of Carmel-By-the-Sea and Monterey.  Whether it be galas held in a hanger or multi-million dollar auctions, Haute Living is going to give you the quick run down of what to do and where to go.  Be forewarned, proper luxury hotel accommodations have been sold out for weeks but take a drive down to check out the action for a day.

Wednesday – August 15th:

Gordon McCall’s Motorworks Revival – 5:00 pm to 10:00 pm
Location:  Monterey Jet Center Admission:  Advance tickets are $295 each (online until August 14).  $325 on event day (August 15).
Why:  This yearly gala is held inside a hanger!  Fabulous fete!

Dine in DeVine
– 5:30-6:30 Cocktail hour and car viewing 6:30 Dinner in the Chai
Location:  Chateau Julien Wine Estate 8940 Carmel Valley Road Carmel, CA
Why:   With a mix of memorable cars on display and some of the best wines flowing, it’s sure to be a fantastic evening.

7:00 am to 8:00 am – cars line up near Collins Field in Pebble Beach
8:30 am – Tour departs, tracing portions of 17-Mile Drive and nearby scenic roads
11:30 to 12:00 Noon – Tour arrives in Carmel-by-the-Sea
12:00 Noon to 2:00 pm – Cars are displayed on Ocean Avenue
2:00 pm to 2:30 pm – Tour returns to Pebble Beach

The Quail, A Motorsports Gathering – 10:00 am – 4:00 pm  TICKETS ARE SOLD OUT!
Location:  8000 Valley Greens Drive, Carmel CA 93923
Why:  Considered the hardest ticket to get in town, these tickets retail at $450 and are sold out instantly.  Most people gain admission from being on previous year’s guest list.

Saturday August 18th:

Pebble Beach Auction presented by Gooding & Company

Saturday – Sunday
Location:  Pebble Beach Concourse

Tour d’LeMons – 10:00 am to 1:00 pm
Location: Laguna Grande Park 1249 Canyon Del Rey Blvd. Seaside, CA
Why: In contrast to most events during famed “Monterey Classic Car Week,” the tour is free and will include catered lunch, various awards and much more for participants.  Also the cars…are lemons!

The Ferrari Event: Presented by The Barnyard & The Ferrari Owners Club – 4:00 pm – 7:00 pm
Location: The Barnyard Shopping Village
Why: Over 50 Ferrari parked where owners and fans mingle among wine and amuse bouches and it all benefits The Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation

Sunday August 19th

Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance – 9AM-5PM
Location:  Pebble Beach Golf Course
Why: THE Grand-daddy of the entire weekend.  Everyone goes to this event.  General Admission Tickets, which include parking, shuttle service, and program, are $200 in advance or $250 on day of show.
